Name:Zexion
Birthdate:06-11
Bio
CHARACTER INFO

Name: Zexion
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Sexuality: To borrow a Sukisyo quote, he just likes what he likes.
Appearance: Zexion's the sort of person who always seems to take up more room than he actually does. He's short, but a bit stockier than most; he's got the kind of body one gets when they've spent a long while pulling himself out of tight places - thin, maybe, but broad shouldered. But you won't notice that until later, because the first thing you really see when you meet him is the hair. Long-ish, layered, and decidedly not periwinkle, it leaves you wondering whether it's just a really good dye job or if his mother drank something odd during the pregnancy. Keep wondering, because Zexion's not telling.

Personality: To say Zexion is a study in contradictions is like saying he's only reasonably intelligent -- it's the sort of understatement that could get you killed. He's the kind of brilliant that would make Stephen Hawking look like an infant. What makes him dangerous, though, is what he does with it. Unscrupulous is putting it mildly: a genius, a prodigy, and willing to throw all moral compunctions to the wind for the sake of advancement.

He's amoral. He's selfish. He's heartless, in point of fact, and probably was even before the metaphorical became literal (became metaphorical). He runs experiments on people, views the world as chess pieces to be moved as he wills, and what's worse is that he's smart enough to know he's doing wrong and doesn't care anyway. He's the Cloaked Schemer: the kind of person willing to walk in the shadows, influencing and manipulating others into dancing for him in what's part of a much larger game. You'll die, and he'll never lay a hand on you. There may be members stronger than he, and still others who have more power, but no one can tear into your very soul the way he can. Not even Xemnas.

It's with Xemnas that you'll find the greatest of Zexion's contradictions, however. Zexion is selfish, manipulative, arrogant. However, he's also explicitly loyal to Xemnas, and to furthering the goals of the Organization. The "why" of it is unclear: respect, most likely. Fear. But whatever the reason, Zexion is absolutely devoted to his Superior; self-serving in every way except this one.

Intelligent though he is, however, if he has one failing it's hubris. It's unlikely you'll ever meet a man more sure of his own superiority. This arrogance, however, is balanced by a soft sort of politeness. He'll look down on you, but he'll do it while offering you tea and chastising you for not having visited earlier. He oscillates between broad smirks and demure bows of the head, making sure you always know how much better he is than you, but rarely ever giving you a chance to call him on outright rudeness. If you do manage to catch him in an act of such, however, you'd better be either very proud or very scared or both, because it means you've somehow managed to worm your way under his skin. He'll be out for revenge. Only he'll smile and call it justice, and not believe his own words for a second.

In another world, Zexion might have been a geek. He's got half the stereotype down: a deep affinity for the hard sciences, a love of calculators, a higher inclination towards spending the day with a computer and test tube than anything with two legs and an IQ below 200. But this isn't that world. The thing you have to know about Zexion is that he's cruel. And not in a "well, he doesn't mean it" kind of way. No, Zexion means it. Zexion means everything he does, whether he's acting kind or cruel or entirely indifferent. Because Zexion is many things, but intelligent comes first and foremost. He's the Cloaked Schemer, after all, and that name didn't come easily. He'll smile at you and shake your hand, but inside he sees you fallen at his feet and utterly destroyed. He just won't do it in a simple way - he's not one for getting his gloves dirty. What's the point, when it's so much easier to push people around and let them take the fall? Yeah, Zexion's intelligent, and cruel, and absolutely, irrevocably ruthless. He is loyal, though. Not always to whom you might think, but Zexion likes order, and he likes rules. They might not be anyone else's, but Zexion operates by guidelines just like everyone does. Just know that they're guidelines no one will probably ever be privy to.
HISTORY

Once upon a time, Zexion was a brilliant young scientist living on a beautiful world called Radiant Garden. His name was Ienzo then. Working on a team with five others, they tried to solve the secrets of the heart. And they did, too. Or at least, they went further than anyone had ever gone before. So far that the darkness consumed them, and stripped them of their hearts. Their bodies would have been forfeit, too, but their wills were so strong that they managed to retain human appearances. Thus, the Organization was formed: a (soon-to-be ) thirteen person group formed of Nobodies. Their goal was to regain their hearts and become truly human once more. And Zexion, who was once Ienzo, became VI, the Cloaked Schemer.

But as their group became larger, from six to nine to thirteen, dissent began forming in their ranks. A few of the neophytes began rebelling against the original six. It's in the midst of this civil strife that the Organization's leader, Xemnas, sends six of them to a Castle named Oblivion to await the arrival of Kingdom Heart's protagonist, Sora, who was led to the castle by Marluxia, XI, in his search to find his best friend, Riku, who had been lost at the end of Kingdom Hearts. Zexion is among the six stationed at Castle Oblivion, and immediately finds that things aren't as straightforward as he would hope: the Organization members are fighting against each other, crossing and double-crossing; Riku is a wild card; and Sora keeps moving forever forward. He sends Vexen, IV, an original member, to investigate Marluxia, but Vexen is killed by Axel, whose loyalties no one is sure of. He sends Lexaeus, V, to try to convince Riku to join them. Riku refuses, and Lexaeus is killed. Sora keeps moving inexorably forward, eventually killing Marluxia. Zexion, still trying to persuade Riku to embrace the darkness inside of him and join the Organization, attempts to convince him that Riku is unworthy of Sora's friendship. He fails, fights, and escapes by the skin of his teeth.

And then Axel arrives, with a replica of Riku, a failed experiment courtesy of Vexen, at hand. They're the only ones left in the castle, see. Zexion's the only one who knows about Axel's betrayal. So Axel orders the Replica to kill him. The last we see of him is darkness.
